"We were with this branch for over 15 years with no problems. As soon as it changed to from Dave Wilcox to Chris Gowan, it went downhill. My first interaction was a call from them bashing Dave Wilcox for ‘not doing his job’ in getting me the best rates. They had a lot to say about him. It felt very slimy, which I told Chris. Billing was a mess too. Every inquiry I made was met with a “we’ll look into it and get back with you” but never got back to me. We switched our auto policies to Ryan Joseph State Farm a couple of years ago and have been happy. Fast forward to the past 2 weeks trying to change our homeowners policy from Gowan to Joseph, and Chris Gowans office “can’t find my policy.” (Though somehow they were able to send a bill.) Still haven’t heard back from them after leaving multiple messages. Thankfully Ryan Joseph was able to do some digging and get it straightened out while I (still) wait for a call back from Chris’ office. There’s always an excuse. There’s always an explanation. There’s never a resolution. There’s never even a return call. If customer service is important to you, I’d steer clear of this agent."

"Was out trick or treating on Halloween, got done and was loading my van when some lady and her daughter slammed their golf cart into the back of my van, lodging it up onto my rear bumper. I stepped out of the way just in time or I’d have 2 broken legs. Immediately following the incident, I called the police and then called Chris to ask for help. Even on a holiday, he answered and without hesitation offered me the advice and guidance I needed. His first question was “is everyone alright?” Which means a lot and shows he cares about his clients. He also conferenced me into a 3 way call with the claims department the same night and made sure I was taken care of. If you need a State Farm agent, there’s no one else I’d recommend more than him."
